A gene trap insertion located in the third intron results in an in frame fusion transcript consisting of exons 1 (untranslated region), 2, and 3, a CD2-derived transmembrane domain, beta galactosidase and neomycin. LacZ expression is detected at E8.5 in a predominantly endodermal pattern and in multiple tissues at later stages. (J:155941)
