Trapped gene association determined by genome coordinate overlap and strand. This gene trap is inserted approximately 3819 nucleotides 3' to exon 37. The gene trap insertion interrupts a predicted armadillo fold and leads to a truncated protein, preserving 1,447 amino acids upstream of the insertion. The truncation will result in the loss of the USP_3 domain required for catalytic activity. No full-length protein is detectable but a beta-geo fusion protein is detected that is not catalytically active. (J:303991)
