The gene-trapping vector, which contains a splicing adaptor followed by a beta-geo reporter gene, inserted into intron 11, resulting in a truncated protein with the G-patch domain and C-terminus replaced with beta-Geo that produces a fusion protein with 569 N-terminal amino acids of the gene fused to 1,327 amino acids of the beta-galactosidase-neomycin protein.
