外源基因捕获载体序列，包含一个内切位点后跟着β-半乳糖苷酶/新霉素(β-Geo)融合蛋白的编码序列，被插入在1号外显子之后的内含子中(DD0926)。在1号外显子之后插入载体产生融合转录本和早于正常终止密码子，从而阻止了全长mRNA的合成。杂合突变小鼠中全长mRNA水平降低50%。(来源：J:222017)
