这些小鼠是通过增强子陷阱转基因技术产生的。使用的转基因载体是TK-bgi-icre-bGHpA，它包含胸苷激酶的最小启动子（TK）驱动一段改良过的Cre重组酶序列（icre）。β珠蛋白内含子将启动子与Cre基因分隔开，Cre序列后面跟着牛生长激素的polyadenylation信号。这个转基因片段被注入C57BL/6J胚胎中。经育成后，1555号杂交系在C57BL/6J背景上确立。(来源：J:150856)
