一个4kb的全长c-maf（Maf）基因克隆，包含cd4启动子增强子和第一个内含子，但不包含沉默元件，被插入到一个载体中。这个构建被注入到C57BL/6的囊胚中。获得了6个杂交瘤，其中3个低拷贝数转基因能将转基因传给后代。经进一步研究，6666品系（胸腺中Maf tg mRNA水平中等，脾脏中水平较低）和6272品系（胸腺和脾脏中Maf转基因mRNA水平极低）被详细描述（文献：J:95878）。
