This mutation was discovered in a screen for defective immune responses among the progeny of ENU mutagenized mice. It comprises a T to G transversion at nucleotide position 480 of the gene, resulting in replacement of leucine by arginine at amino acid position 102 of the protein (L102R). (J:104190)
