一只含Pdgfra基因的鼠标PAC克隆（RPCI21-546M3）被改造，通过在exon 2插入了tamoxifen诱导型Cre重组酶基因，同时伴有Frt标签的氯霉素选择性载体，随后这个载体被去除了。产生了11个后代，但只有2个符合预期地表达了Cre。更强表达的转基因品系被用作代表（来源：J:144591）。
