An Frt flanked PGK-neomycin cassette with a 3' loxP site was inserted in intron 2. A second loxP site was inserted 3' to exon 3. These mice were crossed to mice carrying Tg(ACTB-cre)2Mrt in order to excise exon 3. Mice resulting from this cross express a truncated message. Presence or absence of the PGK neo cassette has no affect on phenotype. (J:88784)
