The Lexicon Genetics gene trap vector VICTR48, which contains a splice acceptor sequence followed by the neomycin resistance gene and a double polyadenylation signal, has integrated into the first intron of the glomulin gene upstream of the translation initiation site, which resides in the second exon (Genbank accession NM_133248.1). Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of protein expression in the yolk sac. (J:184206)
