Tg(Nr2e1-cre/ERT2)1Gsc

This transgene consists of modified BAC containing the entire coding region of the Nr2e1 gene including flanking regulatory sequences 104 kb upstream and 30 kb downstream, and drives expression of a tamoxifen-inducible form of cre recombinase fusion protein which replaces part of exon 1 of the Nr2e1 gene. 6 lines were generated of which 3 lines are further analyzed. All three lines showed tamoxifen-inducible Cre activity in the developing forebrain. This is a representative record for all 3 lines. (J:138765)
