Exons 1 and 2 of the Hprt gene along with a 3' loxP site and neo cassette were inserted into the coding region to create the starting point of a 1.3 Mb genomic deletion as a model for a 1.5 Mb hemizygous deletion in certain 22q11-deletion syndrome patients. (J:136969)
