A genomic fragment containing part of exon 1 and exons 2 through 4 was replaced with a neo cassette. This results in ablation of amino acids 1 to 154. Reduction in protein expression was confirmed by western blot analysis on prostate extracts of heterozygous mice. (J:137003)
