Exons 2 through 5, which encompass nearly all of the coding sequence, were replaced with an in frame lacZ and floxed neo cassette. The absence of transcript expression was confirmed by whole mount in situ hybridization on E12.5 embryos. This allele is a reporter and knockout allele. (J:133699)
