A 2.7 kb fragment including exons 8 - 10 (amino acids 149 - 314) was replaced with a pgk-neo cassette. This deletion resulted in a frameshift producing a missense mutation in the remaining transcript. Western blot analysis of homozygous embryos confirmed the absence of full-length protein. (J:128915)
