Tg(MMTV-Cyp21a1)1Ms

The transgene contains the mouse mammary tumor virus long terminal repeat (MMTV LTR) driving expression of cytochrome P450, family 21, subfamily a, polypeptide 1 (Cyp21a1) from a 3.9-kb genomic DNA segment containing the Cyp21a1 gene and ~700 kb of 5' flanking DNA isolated from a cosmid library of B10.A-H2/SgSnJMis genomic DNA. In this line, 7-10 copies of the transgene were estimated by Southern blot analysis to have integrated into a single site on Chr 17, approximately 10 cM from the endogenous Cyp21a1 gene. (J:20978)
