A loxP site was introduced downstream of exon 2 and a loxP-frt-PGKneopA-frt in the intron upstream of exon 2. Flp-mediated recombination was used to remove the neo cassette leaving a floxed exon 2. A northern blot confirmed the continued expression of the transcript. (J:125040)
