A 5.2 kb fragment encoding H2-Ead was ligated 3' of the Igk enhancer/promoter sequences (Igk-Eik), where the enhancer is a 0.9 kb fragment from the J-C intron. The construct was microinjected into (C57BL/6 x SJL)F2 oocytes. Transgene expression was observed in B-cell areas of the spleen, but density of I-E on spleen and lymph node B-cells was low relative to endogenous I-A or Ig. (J:124907)
