A targeting vector was used to insert loxP sites to flank an HSVTK-PGKNeo cassette and exon 6, which corresponds to the amino terminus of the amine oxidase domain. A type I recombination event in ES cells resulted in deletion of the selection cassette and exon6, leaving a single loxP site. (J:121427)
