P1 Cre噬菌体Cre重组酶，携带有SV40大T抗原的核定位信号序列，其表达由小鼠钙/钙调素依赖性蛋白激酶IIα基因的启动子驱动。通过RT-PCR分析、免疫印迹和Cre重组酶活性的报告实验，证实了转基因的表达。这种活性特异性存在于大脑的核部分，尽管在脑干（cerebellum）中也观察到了较低水平的“漏出”表达，大约占大脑的1-10%（来源：J:104881）。
