设计了一种向导序列，用于替换6号和7号外显子，替换为带有FRT标记的PGK-neomycin cassette。这两个外显子编码两个跨膜区和大部分配体结合域。如果5号和8号外显子发生替代性剪接，会导致立刻产生终止密码子，从而通过密码子介导的降解途径去除mRNA。通过RT-PCR、Northern blot和原位杂交实验，对突变体中转录本的缺失进行了确认。(来源：J:111414)
