Fgf10^{Tg(Myl3-lacZ)24Buck}

The transgene contains 757 bp upstream of the transcriptional start site, the 5' UTR and the first 33 codons of the mouse myosin light polypeptide 3 gene upstream of nlacZ. The promoter contains a 34 bp deletion at -150 relative to the transcription start site. Two to three copies of the transgene integrated 114 kb upstream of the locus in a head-to-tail array. Expression of the transgene is in a highly similar pattern to that of Fgf10 in the embryo. Whole mount in-situ analysis detected decreased expression of the endogenous gene in homozygous embryos indicating this is a hypomorphic allele. (J:71788, J:98521)
