设计了一个靶向载体，目标是将FRT引导序列，包含Engrailed 2第二外显子的splice接受器序列、EMCV插入序列、lacZ-neo cassette以及SV40polyA信号插入到内含子1中。载体的3'端有一个loxP位点，且在内含子2中插入了第二个loxP位点。逆转录PCR证实，这个载体截断了在前2个外显子之间的转录本。能够表达出编码Engrailed 2第二外显子40个移位氨基酸的起始121个氨基酸序列的转录本。但突变体的逆转录PCR未检测到这种转录。(来源：J:107403)
