Tg(Thy1-Ntrk2/EGFP)817Cnl

This transgene consists of the Thy1 promoter followed by a loxP flanked stop signal and a truncated form of the murine Ntrk2 gene fused to EGFP. The truncated cDNA for Ntrk2 includes the region encoding amino acids 1-477 plus 74 bp of the 5' UTR. Cre mediated recombination removes the stop and allows expression of the fusion protein which functions as a dominant negative receptor. Seven founders were created however data for line 817 only were shown. (J:105706)
