The targeting event replaced approximately 1 kb of the gene, including the translation initiation site and all but 10 bp of exon 1, with a floxed MC1-neo cassette in reverse orientation. Western blot analysis of lysates of whole E8.5 embryos using affinity-purified antiserum to the C-terminus of human YAP protein produced no signal. (J:102253)
