Tg(tetO-Vegfa)90Ala

This transgene contains cDNA for the murine Vegfa isoform VEGF-A164 which was inserted between seven copies of the tetracycline operator (tetO)7-CMV minimal promoter and the bovine growth factor polyadenylation signals sequence. TetO, when present in cells also carrying a tetracycline transactivator (tTA) or reverse transactivator (rtTA) transgene, is inactivated or activated, respectively, by the administration of tetracycline or its analogue doxycycline.
