Tg(Upk2-cre)6Xrw

A construct was generated having a 3.6 kb fragment of the mouse Upk2 promoter, cre recombinase and a polyA signal. The transgene was purified and microinjected into fertilized FVB/N oocytes. Three founder lines 4,5,6) were obtained, all showing germline transmission and urothelium-specific cre mRNA expression (not detected in any other tissues). Mice established from founder 6 were crossed to reporter mice to verify cre recombinase activity in the urothelium. (J:99613)
