Part of exon 3 was replaced with an NLS-LacZ-neo cassette. The construct was designed such that a fusion product containing the first 28 amino acids would be fused to Beta-gal. Northern blot of mutant mammary glands indicated that the null allele did not create any alternatively spliced transcripts. (J:96237)
