在第4外显子，编码活性位点的部分被一个-loxP引导的hygromycin B抗性基因座替换。将含cre表达质粒转染ES细胞后，导致hygro抗性基因的剔除。通过对突变体大脑组织进行RT-PCR分析，检测到了变异转录本的存在。序列分析显示，第3外显子后存在移码和早停密码子。(来源：J:95522)
