Nkx6-2^tm1Gow

A fragment of sequence containing the ORF in exons 1 and 2 was replaced with a lacZ-PGK-neo cassette. Northern blot of mutant brains indicated a lack of Nkx6-2 transcript, however, two signals were observed that hybridized to a lacZ probe. X-gal staining demonstrated lacZ was expressed prenatally in neurons and postnatally in oligodendrocytes of mutant embryos. (J:94807)
