The transgene contains the coding sequence, intronic regions, and regulatory elements of the human microtubule-associated protein tau (MAPT) gene. Tg(MAPT)8cPdav integrated on chromosome 7 [104,477,768-104,477,769 ; mm10] in an intron of the tripartite motif-containing 30D locus (Trim30d). The transgene copy number was not calculated. It was not determined if this resulted in any genomic duplication(s) or if this alters endogenous Trim30d expression. (J:85952, J:276927)
