在3-5号外显子的周围插入了LoxP位点。插入了带有FRT标记的无启动子的β-半乳糖苷酶-新霉素基因座，位于5号内含子。与EIIa-Cre小鼠杂交后，去除了包含3-5号外显子的含LoxP的区域，保留了FRT标记的β-geo。对突变体的免疫组化分析证实了内源性蛋白的缺失。对突变新生儿小肠组织的 Western blot 也证实了蛋白的不存在。(来源：J:92210)
