在生殖细胞中，Cre介导的重组移除了第七号外显子和一个3'端带有FRT标记的新突变体(由同源重组插入)。第七号外显子包含非整数个密码子，因此删除它导致243号氨基酸后出现框架移位，并在第八号外显子8个氨基酸后产生早停密码子。Northern blot检测到的转录本大小略小于野生型，RT-PCR证实这是第七号外显子缺失的结果。 Western blot在突变小鼠大脑中未检测到蛋白质。(来源：J:91487)
