Chimeric mice with this allele were generated by Incyte Genomic Inc, Palo Alto CA. Exons 2 and 3 were replaced with a neomycin resistance gene. This resulted in the deletion of the initiation codon found normally in exon 2. Northern and Western blots failed to detect transcript or protein in mutants, respectively. (J:100664)
