A loxP site was inserted in intron 4 while a floxed and Frt flanked neomycin-Tk selection cassette was inserted in intron 1. Transient transfection with a Flpc-recombinase expressing plasmid results in excision of the neomycin-Tk cassette and leaves exons 2-4 flanked by loxP sites. (J:87782)
