在乳腺导管的上皮中表达猫眼蛋白β，通过将 Xenopus 猫眼蛋白β的cDNA连接到小鼠乳腺肿瘤病毒长末端重复序列。编码的猫眼蛋白β缺少89个氨基端，保留了与 cadherin/catenin的结合，并在细胞质中具有增强的稳定性。构建中还包括了β球蛋白序列和myc标签。建立的祖先小鼠约含有45个拷贝的构建，相对于 line 3，被认为是“高表达”（J:69210）。
