The entire coding region was deleted via cre-mediated recombination of the loxP sites inserted by homologous recombination. Although the targeting vector included an frt-flanked neo cassette and sequence encoding GFP, GFP expression was undetected. Sequence analysis of the targeted locus identified a single base insertion, resulting in a frameshift mutation in the inserted sequence. (J:87595)
