Fgf8^tm3Mrc

This hypomorphic allele was generated by inserting an frt-flanked neomycin cassette into intron 5. Single loxP sites located in introns 4 and 5, flank exon 5 and the neomycin cassette. An alkaline phosphatase gene was inserted just 5' to the second lox P site such that upon cre-mediated recombination, the alkaline phosphatase gene is expressed under the control of the Fgf8 gene. Fgf8tm1Mrc and Fgf8tm2Mrc were respectively generated by cre- and flp-mediated recombination of this allele. (J:66265, J:87304)
