Mnt^tm1.1Phu

Mice heterozygous for Mnttm1Phu were crossed with transgenic mice carryingTgN(EIIa-cre)C5379Lmgd. In mice carrying both the transgene and Mnttm1Phu, cre excision removed exons 4 to 6 as well as the Hygro selection cassette. The predicted protein product would thus lack the C-terminal amino acids from residue 235 to 591. No mRNA transcripts were identified by RT-PCR in embryos homozygous for this disruption. (J:85481)
