Unc5c^{rcmTg(Tert)5Hwl}

A 5.6 kb transgenic construct containing cDNA encoding telomerase reverse transcriptase under the control of the chicken beta-actin promoter randomly inserted into intron 1 of Unc5c. The insertion deleted approximately 50 kb of intron 1. While Unc5c transcript was detected in the testes of homozygous mutant mice, transcript was undetected in the cerebellum, lung, spleen, or ovaries. (J:85446)
