A LacZ and a PGK-neomycin cassette were inserted just before the translation start site of the only gene exon. Chimeric mice were crossed with CAG-Cre mice to excise the neo cassette. Progeny of this cross were examined by PCR to check for mRNA expression. Expression was absent in tissues of homozygotes. (J:84414)
