A transition point mutation (C to T) at nucleotide 2137 was induced by ENU mutagenesis. The mutation results in a nonsense mutation at codon 608, thereby precluding the translation of a full length protein. Protein was undetectable by Western blot analysis of homozygous mutant brain tissue. (J:84625)
