This mutation has a genomic deletion which encompasses much of the Atrn gene including the N-terminus, but not the C-terminus. The last two coding exons are not deleted. Northern blot analysis of total brain RNA failed to detect Atrn transcript in mice homozygous for this allele. (J:96070)
