原生编码序列的5'三分之二部分被同源重组方式插入了一个由floxed neo cassette构建的元件。无论是纯合突变小鼠还是携带父源性突变基因杂合的个体，通过Northern blot和RT-PCR的转录分析均未检测到正常转录本。这些小鼠的脑组织通过Western blot实验确实证实了无蛋白质表达。(参考文献：J:66557)
