通过同源重组在exon 3内插入无启动子的诺卡因选择标记，实现了特异性的基因剪接突变。在纯合突变小鼠的RT-PCR分析中未检测到gamma1转录，然而gamma2 mRNA能轻易被扩增。RNAse保护实验进一步证实了gamma1亚型的缺失。（来源：J:42773）
