The transgene consists of a human RET cDNA encoding the RET51 isoform with a cysteine to lysine substitution at position 634 (C634K) fused to mouse Hoxb7 promoter sequences (-1316 to +81). Mouse Hoxb7 promoter was used to drive expression of the transgene throughout the uretic bud branches. The C634K mutation is associated with the human disease MEN2A syndrome. (J:71588)
