Exons 5 and 6 were flanked by a single loxP site in intron 4 and a neo cassette with a 3' loxP site in intron 6. Basal plasma cholesterol and triglyceride levels in mutant mice were similar to those in wild-type mice, indicating that the intronic neo cassette did not affect gene expression. (J:53390)
