这个等位基因是由将Cnr1tm1Ltz杂合子小鼠与表达Cre重组酶的转基因小鼠杂交产生的。Southern blot分析显示，整个开放阅读框被移除，只留下一个LoxP位点和位于该位点单个外显子中的FLP-重组酶靶标（FRT）新基因。通过同位素内标对纯合突变胚胎进行原位杂交，确定了没有转录本的存在。（来源：J:77936）
