通过同源重组，一个3kb的基因区段，包括第2外显子，被替换成一个neo-loxP-hprt cassette，导致编码蛋白的N端100个氨基酸被删除，并产生一个框移，使得所有潜在的蛋白亚型都失去功能。通过Southern blot和PCR基因型分析，我们识别出了纯合突变体动物。(来源：J:50811)
