A cDNA encoding a kinase dead mutant protein with a substitution of lysine 653 for methionine was fused in frame into exon 3 of the gene followed by a poly (A) site and a loxP flanked neomycin selection cassette. Western blot analysis confirmed the expression of the fusion protein in homozygous mice. (J:67274)
